Žogu fabrika has been making metal wire fences since 2009. We are not a middleman: wire comes into our factory in Jelgava, and we turn it into chain-link mesh, 3D panels, posts or gates. That is why we know what every product is made of and can stand behind it with a warranty.
Automated production
Žogu fabrika is the first fully automated fence factory in Latvia. Chain-link fencing, 3D panels and barbed wire are made on automated lines, which is why we produce an average of 45,000 metres of fencing a week. We have invested more than 3 million euros in production equipment. In 2015 we bought an Italian-made wire straightening machine and, together with an Italian automation company, robotised our panel welding line.
What does this mean for the buyer? Less manual work means the same quality in every batch: the same mesh size, straight wires, precise welds. Higher capacity means shorter waiting times, even for large orders: if the goods are in stock, you can have them straight away, and we make custom gates in 5 weeks on average.
Materials for the Latvian climate
A fence stands outdoors through all four seasons: in rain, in frost, in damp air near water and close to road salt. That is why we use heat-treated galvanised steel wire. Panels, posts and gates have a powder coating over the zinc; chain-link fencing is available with an optional PVC coating. Posts for panel fences are galvanised inside and out (at least 275 g/m²) and only then painted.
The standard colours are green (RAL 6005), anthracite (RAL 7016) and brown (RAL 8017), as well as galvanised without paint. Other RAL shades are made to order; quantity and lead time are calculated individually.
Warranty
All our products — chain-link fencing, panels, posts, barbed wire and gates — carry the warranty required by law: no less than 2 years. For projects we can also provide a longer warranty by agreement with the client. We can afford to do this because we control the whole chain, from choosing the wire to packing, and check quality at every stage of production. Our chain-link fence meets the requirements of LVS EN 10223-6. Warranty terms depend on the type of product and its use, and we state them in the quotation.
The warranty applies if the fence is installed correctly. Installation is especially important for chain-link fencing, so we supply installation instructions with it.
Made in Latvia
All our products are made in Latvia. The office, factory and warehouse are on one site — in Jelgava, Kalnciema ceļš 134A. Here you can see the goods, get advice and collect your order on the spot. For the buyer this means a short delivery route, communication in Latvian and a manufacturer you can meet in person.
Our customers are homeowners, builders, municipalities and farmers. One needs two rolls of chain-link and a pedestrian gate; another needs several kilometres of panel fencing with posts and automatic sliding gates. Either way we work the same way: a clear quotation, an agreed lead time, goods that match their description.
From request to fence
Most buyers start with one question: how much will it cost? For standard fences the answer is right there in our online shop, which shows prices incl. VAT, and the calculator works out from the fence length and height how many panels, posts and fixings you need. Our specialist confirms the request, and you receive the invoice only after we have made sure everything is in stock and delivery is agreed.
If the site is larger or non-standard — a long fence on uneven ground, gates of an unusual width, a fence round a company site with access gates — contact our sales team. They will help you choose the wire diameter, height and post length and prepare a quotation with every item. We will also explain what to look out for during installation so that the warranty stays valid.
Export
Our fences are exported to Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, France and Iceland. The Nordic climate and the requirements of European buyers are a good test of quality, and the same fences are sold in Latvia. Our high-security barbed wire has been used to protect state borders, defence sites and ships.

Do you install fences?
Yes — installation can be arranged through our partner companies; it can be agreed when we confirm the order. Chain-link fencing comes with installation instructions; an agricultural fence can also be installed by the owner, following the instructions.
What is the warranty?
All our products carry the warranty required by law — no less than 2 years. For projects we can agree a longer warranty; we state it in the quotation and the contract. The warranty applies if the fence is installed correctly. If you have a question, write to office@zogufabrika.lv and attach your purchase document and photos.
How do I choose the fence height and wire diameter?
For private houses, a fence 1.53–1.73 m high is the most common choice. A higher fence (2.03 m) suits company sites and warehouses. For a panel fence, 4 mm wire is enough for a private house, while 5 mm wire is stiffer and suits schools, sports grounds and factories. Before buying, check your municipality's building regulations — they may limit the height and transparency of a fence facing the street.
What colours are available?
Panels, posts and gates are available in green (RAL 6005), anthracite (RAL 7016) and brown (RAL 8017), or galvanised without paint. Chain-link fencing is galvanised, or galvanised with a green PVC coating. Other RAL shades are made to order — the minimum quantity and lead time are calculated individually, depending on the product and colour.
Can you make custom gates?
Yes. We make single-leaf, double-leaf and sliding gates in any width from 1 m. Gates can be fitted with Nice or V2 automation. For custom gates, use the configurator in our shop or send a request with the dimensions. Average production time is 5 weeks.

The measure of our work is a fence that stands straight and rust-free for years. That is why we do not choose the cheapest wire or the cheapest paint, but the kind we can give a warranty for.
Cooperation
We base our cooperation with customers on mutual respect and responsibility for the quality of what we make. A private customer and a construction company have different needs, but both deserve a clear answer: what is in stock, what it costs and when it can be collected or delivered. If we make a mistake, we admit it and put it right. With builders and resellers we build long-term cooperation on stable terms, not one-off promotions. The same goes for our suppliers: we buy wire, paint and hardware from proven companies we have worked with for years. You can come to us, look at the goods and talk to the person who makes them. If anything is unclear — size, colour, installation — it is better to ask before you buy; we will answer honestly, even if the best solution is cheaper than what you meant to buy.
Vision
To become the leading fence manufacturer in the Baltics and to supply high-quality metal wire fencing to the countries of the European Union. Today we export to eight countries — from Iceland to France. We believe a Latvian manufacturer can be the first choice not because it is closer, but because it is better. To extend that list, we keep investing in automation and energy efficiency. In 2025 we installed a solar power plant on the factory roof for our own use, and in 2026 we expanded it to a total capacity of 0.266 MW. The less energy and manual work one metre of fence takes, the better its price for the buyer. We want “made in Latvia” to stand not only for origin, but for quality that can compete in any European market.
Quality and warranty
We use galvanised steel wire, powder coating and PVC coating — materials suited to Latvia's damp and changeable climate. We check quality at every stage of production and inspect every batch before dispatch. All products carry a warranty from 2 years; for projects — longer, by agreement.
Automated factory
The first fully automated fence factory in Latvia. Our automated lines produce an average of 45,000 metres of fencing a week. We are moving step by step from simpler machines to more advanced ones, because there is no progress without it. Since 2015 we have modernised the panel welding line, wire straightening and chain-link production.
Export to Europe
Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, France and Iceland. Buyers abroad check our quality against their own standards and order again, and customers in Latvia get the same quality. Export orders are handled by a dedicated team, and we communicate with these customers in English.
Made in Jelgava
Office, factory and warehouse on one site — Kalnciema ceļš 134A, Jelgava. On weekdays you can come, see the goods and collect your order (goods issue 9:00–16:30). A local factory also means a smaller transport footprint and quicker help if questions come up after purchase. You are welcome!
